Principal Crypto Engineer (TS//SCI)

About the role

Own the architecture and integration of Type-1 cryptographic systems across spacecraft, payload, and ground segments, including encryption and key management for command, telemetry, and mission data. Lead designs from trade studies through implementation, integration, testing, and certification support, while establishing reusable standards and resolving issues with fielded and on-orbit systems. Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, at least five years of experience designing or integrating cryptographic systems or secure communications, and hands-on experience integrating NSA Type-1 equipment. Candidates need working knowledge of key management and key loading, systems-level reasoning across hardware, software, and RF, an active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance, and the ability to meet export-control eligibility requirements.
