About the role
Own the architecture and integration of Type-1 cryptographic systems across spacecraft, payload, and ground segments, including encryption and key management for command, telemetry, and mission data. Lead designs through implementation, integration, testing, and certification support while establishing reusable standards and resolving issues with fielded and on-orbit systems. Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, plus at least five years of experience designing or integrating cryptographic systems or secure communications. Candidates need hands-on experience with NSA Type-1 equipment, working knowledge of key management and key loading, systems-level engineering skills, and an active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
